David Bailin is a singer songwriter who has been performing as a soloist and in bands since graduating high school in 1989. His band "Dave Bailin & the Bailouts" have released 3 albums of originals; “On the Wire ~ Live in the Witch City” in 2010, self titled studio album “Dave Bailin & the Bailouts” in 2014 and “Music In My Head” in 2021.
The Bailouts formed in 2009 in Salem MA where Dave lived from 1997 until he moved to Fort Pierce FL in December of 2021. They continue to perform and record when Dave returns to New England in the summers.
Dave picked up harmonica at 12 yrs old. His dad played a little and had a couple of them hanging around along with an extensive collection of blues records. At 15 he discovered Bob Dylan and started writing songs and taking guitar lessons.
Dave has always enjoyed entertaining in the coastal areas of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine in the summer months. In December of 2021 he decided to follow the summer down to the Treasure Coast where he is now a resident.
Dave quickly has become a steady fixture in the music scene performing in popular Tiki bars from Stuart to Vero Beach. His shows consist of strong vocals and solid guitar rhythms. His biting and tasteful guitar leads over instantly created loops along with steady rhythm from his left foot shaker gets a lot of attention. You will also hear some soulful harp solos during his set.
Dave plays an eclectic selection of popular cover songs mixed in with originals. You will hear songs you love that you probably won’t hear from anyone else and songs you forgot you loved you haven’t heard in years. He jumps around genres and decades during his set. People like to stick around just to hear which song is next. There is something for everyone including 1950’s oldies, classic rock from the 60’s though the 90’s, new and old country, blues, reggae and more. Dave knows over 1000 songs and loves taking requests. Popular artist he covers include The Beatles, Rolling Stones, CCR, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen, Sublime and Chris Stapleton to name just a few.
Dave’s performances usually start off laidback in the tiki bar settings, however, they soon become more energized and exciting as his audience becomes more involved. Dave likes to interact with his listeners, making jokes and making sure everyone is having a great time, gathering up a following where ever he performs.
